Last weekend I attended a great event – Alfred & Constance Cocktail tasting, with a preview how to mix all 6 of them.
What is Alfred and Constance?
It’s the latest venture from the team at Limes Hotel. Set to open in August, the new venue includes a gastro pub with a wood-fired oven the heart of its kitchen, a café/dessert bar and a tiki bar.
A group of the lucky ones, including very happy me, gathered in the Limes rooftop bar on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We were presented with six excellent drinks – some looking beautifully appetising and some really quirky.
The cocktail list included: Pina Colada, Kava Bowl, 1934 Zombie Punch, Grapefruit and Agave Margarita, Mayflower and Sloe Gin Fizz. I was really pleased not only by great flavours but also the stories behind all those drinks.
There was 250ml of two kinds of rum in that bowl! No surprise I was sooooooooo “happy” after 😉
My favourite drink was obviously Mayflower – I’m a dessert person, and it was dessert-like cocktail.
