Eat Street Markets

Interesting new dining destination has opened a few weeks ago at the Hamilton Harbour in Brisbane – Eat Street Markets. It’s a very diverse place, inspired by Asian markets, open every Friday and Saturday from 4pm until 10pm.

We went there for a quick look around and couldn’t resist trying quite a few things. It was one of the first Fridays, andΒ ContainervalΒ Festival was also on then, so the place got busy quickly and it was not easy to find a place to seat and eat.

My favourite thing was a plain roti, which I devoured too quickly to take a single photo of it. Chitty Banh BanhΒ by Jake and Elle (from MKR) looked the most popular, I wonder if it’s because people really like their food or because they wan’t to see the siblings in person. I liked what they put in my roll (crispy chicken + asian slaw), but the roll itself tasted like it was baked a day before, kind of rubbery.

I still feel like I have to go back to the Eat Street to make up my mind about it.
