Heaven for chocolate fans!
I’ve found a recipe for this easy to make, flourless tart on Martha Stewart’s website. It’s reach, chocolaty, not dry or sticky, perfect with a cup of coffee 🙂
115 g unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup almond meal
3/4 cup caster sugar
3 large eggs
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
3 firm pears
1/2 cup sliced almonds[/quote]
Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Brush a 22 cm tart pan with butter and set aside.
Mix butter with almonds and caster sugar. Add eggs, cocoa, vanilla, salt, and almond extract. Spread mixture evenly in prepared pan.
Peel, halve, and core pears. Cut them lengthwise into thin slices and arrange on the chocolate mixture. Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Bake for 45 – 50 minutes.
